The majority of Yoga which is practiced in the west is a form of Hatha Yoga – whether it is a fast paced flowing class or a gentler more relaxed class – if it includes movement, breathing and relaxation/meditation it is Hatha. Again in the west we have tended to give the word “hatha” to more gentler slower paced forms of Yoga. I like to think of Hatha Yoga as a Yoga that anyone can practice. In my Hatha & Slow-Flow classes students are given time and space to work with their own abilities, going at a gentler pace whilst still challenging themselves. You will learn traditional Yoga asana (postures), Pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation/relaxation.
These classes are ideal for beginners and people who want a gentler paced class still with all the benefits which Yoga brings.
