Immerse yourself in nature this Summer and join Maria Dineen and myself for a 2.5 hour yoga and qigong workshop in our own private outdoor retreat area nestled within 60 acres of woodland and lakes at Buzzards Valley Vineyard, Drayton Bassett, near Tamworth.
The theme for this woodland workshop is ‘Tending the Heart Fire’. We’ll begin our time together with a meditation practice encouraging us to think about how we might nourish our own heart. We’ll then enjoy a playful qigong practice aimed at cultivating a deeper sense of awareness of and appreciation for the natural world around us, reminding us that we are part of nature and not something separate from it.
I am so excited to be able to offer my Ayurvedic and Tui na massages treatments from my own dedicated space from June.
Come along to Small World Massage therapies in Chantry House, Coleshill, B’ham B46 3BP. This beautiful building houses a few different small businesses and has a waiting room, toilet facilities and parking.

Tui Na is a branch of traditional Chinese medicine that works not only with the muscles, connective tissues and joints of the body, but also encouraging healthy Qi flow through the meridian system. This is a vigorous form of body work (tui na means to push and pull) and is offered over clothing without any oil.
It’s an invigorating treatment for health maintenance.

I will also be running Monday evening Yoga at St Mary & St Margaret’s community hall in Castle Bromwich at 7pm. This will be a Flow-led practice followed by a Yoga Nidra with Tibetan singing bowls.

Held in the beautiful surroundings of St Mary & St Margaret’s community centre we will be exploring the solar and lunar qualities of Yoga - more dynamic movement practices leading to a calming and restorative Yoga Nidra (deep relaxation).

Spring is governed by the Chinese phase of wood - it’s a time of growth and adaptability. Related to the connective tissues within the body our forms embrace a certain elasticity and mobility.
In this extended practice we will work with Qigong forms, meditation and intention to encourage the ascending Yang energy of Spring - a brighter, warmer energy.
This workshop will also include a guided relaxation and traditional Chinese medicine tips on how to stay healthy through this season.

Our Yoga and Qigong classes continue to flow into May with some beautiful spring-themed sessions.
Our Yoga sessions have been looking at ways to bring balance and harmony to the natural qualities of spring which in Ayurvedic principles is governed by kapha dosha. We have been getting moving with uplifting postures and sequences, shifting any lingering stagnation or heavy qualities. Also working with some major sites within the body such as the lungs and lyphatic system - all in a fun and creative way.
Our Qigong sessions have also been exploring spring and the Chinese phase of wood - healthy growth, clear vision and to be strong yet mobile. This continues with a Qigong workshop on Sunday 11th May - get in touch for more info.

Ayurvedic massage treatments are held at High Vibe Yoga cabin on Wednesdays and pop-up clinic this month at VC Holistic Hideaway is on Sat 31st.

February is here with those little stirrings of Spring - how wonderful to feel the fresher air, the light (slowly) coming back, and the birds finding their voices again.
Our Yoga and Qigong classes are in full spring too! Yoga sessions in Castle Bromwich, Coleshill and Water Orton are taking a light glance at the vayu’s - the directions that our energy can move in during our practice and also in our everyday life. As always we have classes for all from more flow-led vinyasa style, through to gentle Hatha Yoga and seated chair Yoga.
Our ever-popular Qigong sessions in Water Orton and Coleshill are flowing easefully from winter to spring with movement forms to keep us healthy, mobile, and calm. Combining the water element of winter and the wood energy of spring, there is always something to enjoy.
I am at High Vibe Yoga cabin for Ayurvedic massage on Wednesday the 12th and 26th this month, and at the lovely VC Holistics on Saturday 22nd Feb. Come and treat yourself and bring a boost to your energy ready for spring.
Let’s welcome in the first of our new years (Chinese new year starts at the end of Jan - the year of the snake) with movement, strength, presence and calm. Classe start back on Saturday 4th with our monthly Super Saturday Yoga flow.
I have changed things up a little on Tuesdays. There is no Tuesday Qigong now. I have also changed our venue (and time slightly) for our Mindful Flow Yoga. This will now be held at Coleshiil community centre from 7.30 - 8.45pm (75 minute class). Come along to this lovely, warm and welcoming hall.
Also at Coleshill community centre I will be running our chair Mindful movement class in person and online every Thursday morning at 10am-10.45am. Donation-based. We then flow straight into a new Qigong session from 11am - 12.15pm. Come and join the fun!
All other classes continue as normal.
