Class shake-up
First things first, close your eyes, put your hands on your heart and take 5 calm, deep breaths. Then say silently “I am present, I am healthy, I am alive in this world”.
So what do we do when the world changes around us? Do we panic? Do we become insular and hardened? Or do we roll with the changes and open ourself up to other possibilities and ways of living?
Already over the weekend my heart was whispering to me to be responsible at this time and I have decided from today that all classes will be suspened for a while? Who knows what “a while” will be but I think that this is the right thing to do at this moment. I have been in contact with the halls and leisure centres where I teach – some halls are already closing or limiting the use of their spaces and I don’t think that it will be long before others do.
So what next? I am in the process of setting up some things on-line. Some bits will be available on my website over the coming week

I am also looking at doing some live classes on Zoom which seems to be one of the better platforms for this kind of stuff. This will require you to load Zoom onto a laptop/tablet/phone.

Even I managed to create an account so it’s fairly easy to do. I will then send a follow up email once I have got things up and running and we can see how it works?
Obviously I know that not everyone is able to or will want to do this but I am afraid this is what it is at the moment.
I will also do some whattsapp groups class by class so if you want to be in those and I haven’t got your number please load whattsapp onto your phone and text me 07454 708646 – it’s another way that we can stay connected and help those who may be feeling isolated over the next month or so.
If you are on your own and are struggling please reach out – I have a car, a motorbike, a push bike, rollerblades and legs that work so we can bring you supplies, walk your dogs, feed your cats, pick up prescriptions etc. Or if you are lonely and just want a chat let me know and I will arrange a weekly phone call to you. I know our classes, for many, are as much a way of socialising as they are of practicing Yoga so please lets stay connected.
I am thinking of you all, especially many who I know work in the NHS – thank you!
